A Creative Home for Your Child

Creative Arts Academy of Austin (CAA) is a licensed childcare program housed within APAX — Austin's newest performing arts and wellness center. We combine the nurturing environment of quality early childhood education with the magic of arts-based learning.

Programs Designed to Inspire

Every child learns differently. Our offerings flex to fit your family's schedule and your child's needs.

Full-Day Enrollment
Year-round care Monday–Friday, 8am–3pm. Structured curriculum with arts integration, free play, and social development. Enrollment runs August–July.

Arts Enrichment Aftercare
Extend the day from 3–5pm with arts-focused programming — dance, visual arts, drama, and more. Available as an add-on for enrolled families (minimum 5 children to activate).

Drop-In Care
Flexible hourly drop-in for families who need occasional care. Available based on daily capacity. Great for parents taking adult classes at APAX.

We welcome children ages 3–5. Two-year-olds who are fully potty-trained (all bathroom functions independent, including dressing) are also eligible.

Frequently Asked Questions

What ages do you accept?
We serve children ages 3–5. Two-year-olds are welcome if they are fully potty-trained — meaning all bathroom functions are fully independent, including dressing themselves.
When does enrollment open?
CAA opens January 5, 2027 for Spring Semester, with a drop-in focus during the initial launch. Full enrollment ramps up toward Fall 2027. Join our waitlist now to secure your spot.
Is CAA licensed by the state of Texas?
Yes. CAA operates in compliance with Texas HHS minimum standards for childcare centers (Chapter 746). We maintain required staff-to-child ratios (15:1) and all required health and safety documentation.
What is the withdrawal policy?
Families must provide 30 days written notice to withdraw from enrollment.
Are vaccinations required?

What software do you use for enrollment and billing?
We manage enrollment, scheduling, and billing through Jackrabbit Childcare. Families will set up an account to manage their child's profile, payments, and communication.
Do you offer part-time schedules?
Yes — we offer full-time, part-time, and drop-in care options. Contact us to discuss which schedule works best for your family.
Is there a staff discount?
Yes. Staff discounts of up to 50% are available based on employment level and current capacity.
